#Help4TN Month

 

Help4TNMonth is an annual public awareness celebration to highlight the need for free and reduced fee legal services in Tennessee and spotlight the organizations that provide these services throughout the year.  Now more than ever, Tennesseans need assistance with civil legal issues, and the Tennessee Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission is kicking off its annual Help4TNMonth digital campaign.

For 2026, the Access to Justice Commission dived in to understanding access to justice in rural communities. 

 

What is a rural legal desert? 

A rural legal desert is a geographic area where residents have limited or no access to legal services due to few attorneys, long distances to courts, and lack of legal aid resources.

The primary goal of the public awareness campaign is to bring attention to the on-going need for free and low cost civil legal services in Tennessee and highlight the groups that provide these services to disadvantaged Tennesseans. This initiative is a joint effort by the Tennessee Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission, the Administrative Office of the Courts, Tennessee Alliance for Legal Services, and the Tennessee Bar Association.
